Purdey & Sons 12 Gauge side-by-side is a London best Beesley self-opening sidelock: scroll and bouquet engraving on a case-colored action, cocking indicators, disc-set strikers, gold-inlaid “SAFE,” double triggers, tang safety, and automatic ejectors. The top rib is marked “J. Purdey & Sons, Audley House, South Audley Street, London.” 29" barrels choked Modified and Improved Cylinder. 2 1/2" chambers. Serial 20025 falls at the 1910–1911 changeover in Purdey numbering.
