This Gallyon & Sons 20 Gauge side-by-side is an English boxlock game gun from the Cambridge firm founded by William Gallyon in 1784. Scroll and border engraving on the action, double triggers, tang safety, and extractor. 27 1/2" barrels choked Improved Cylinder and Improved Modified. 2 1/2" chambers.
The stock is checkered walnut with a straight grip and an engraved initial plate in the toe line marked “MH.” Dimensions: 13 1/2" LOP, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 1/8" DAH, 5 mm cast-off at the toe, 5 lbs 6 oz.
